Twin and single coil double enamelled Storage Tank

Hybrid storage of hot water is used on demand and only requires the peak load to be stored plus a safety margin ensuring a continuous supply of piping hot water at all times. The hybrid system design incorporating solar collectors and a high efficiency heat pump guarantees fast hot water recovery around the clock, even after sunset. Energen's storage tank is double enamelled for extra protection and comes with either single or twin enamelled coils for added corrosion protection. The closed circuit fluid passes from the solar collectors and/or the heat pump to heat the water in the tank. This method ensures that the stored potable hot water is not subject to flow limitations during time of peak simultaneous demand (PSD).

Conventional solar systems store larger volumes of hot water or even a full days requirement which is subject to increased heat loss, space occupied by the tank and increased weight of the tank. Bulk storage of heat transfer fluid as seen in some inferior designs is limited during times of PSD due to the inability of the heat exchanger to effectively heat the potable water during periods of high volume flow.

Energen EHS P Collectors

In the high performance EHS P Collectors the absorber is made from sputtered Titanium Oxide coating on an aluminium surface. The high absorption efficiency of 96% and very low emissivity 4% make this a top performing collector in all climate zones. The EHS P collector is glazed with low iron toughened prismatic glass with a transmittance of 97% and very low reflectivity of just 7%. The EHS P collectors are rated amongst the top performing collectors in the world today by an independent test done by a leading German laboratory. The collector has the European solar key mark for durability, efficiency and performance.

Energen Heat Pump

One of the most efficient ways to heat water after solar is through a heat pump. The Energen heat pumps have a very high COP of 4 to 4.5 between 20 Deg ambient and 30 Deg ambient. This means for every kW of input we can get 4 - 4.5 kW of heat output. This means a very low kWh electrical input yielding a high kW heat output, in other words, buy one kWh and get 3 for free. Electrical load on the grid or backup generator is very low which means for a lower infrastructure cost. Energen offers a variety of heat pumps for domestic and commercial applications, hot water, spa and swimming pool heating applications.

Solar controllers for precise monitoring and control of the solar circuit and state of art heat pump controllers for automatic and tandem heat pump operation.
